Each shutter is bespoke and made-to-measure, Shutters are made up of a number of component parts that are fixed together to make a strong, durable and attractive window covering.
A mortice and tenon joint is used to attach top and bottom rails to the stile for a highly stable and extremely strong construction. All shutters are assembled into their frames in the factory as a final check to ensure all the components are present and that the shutters fit correctly.
This is done on a glass top table so that the check is done on an absolutely flat surface.
